“Do You Believe?” (John 11:26)

The West Ohio Conference invites all to observe the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity January 18-25, an annual opportunity to celebrate and pray for the unity of Christ's followers worldwide. This year’s theme, “Do You Believe?”, drawn from John 11:26, encourages us to deepen our faith and live out our shared belief in Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection and the life.

In 2025, we also commemorate the 1,700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea, which defined the shared foundations of Christian faith. This milestone invites us to reflect on our common heritage and affirm our unity in the Nicene Creed, a profound declaration of belief that has united Christians across centuries and traditions.

The Week of Prayer for Christian Unity is more than a tradition; it’s a vital expression of our faith and hope in the reconciliation that Jesus offers to all. It reminds us of the beauty and strength of diversity within the Christian family and calls us to work together for justice, peace, and the flourishing of all creation.
