Patricia Jo Sisson Morris -

Patricia Morris is the former spouse of Rev. David Sisson who served the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church before his passing,

Pat’s strong faith in God was the foundation of her life. It guided her decisions, shaped her character, and carried her through both joyful seasons and difficult days.

Her faith was not only something she believed, but something she lived daily through quiet acts of service, steadfast prayer, and a heart always ready to help someone in need. She gave generously of her time, her energy, and her love, rarely seeking recognition. Her family was her greatest joy.

Pat poured herself into her children, grandchildren, and great grandchild, always putting their needs above her own. She celebrated their accomplishments, supported them through challenges, and showed her love in countless practical ways—through Dairy Queen runs, rides given, conversations shared, and prayers spoken faithfully on their behalf. She cherished every moment spent with them and made each one feel deeply known and loved.

She was also a devoted hairstylist for more than 50 years, and a business owner for 17 years. Pat treasured the relationships she built with her clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. More than a stylist, she was a listener, an encourager, and a steady presence for anyone who sat in her chair.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev, David Edwin Sisson; her second husband, Robert F. Morris, Sr.; and her parents, Joseph Osten Glassner and Shirley JoAnn Glassner.

Prior to Rev. David Sisson's passing, he and Pat served the West Ohio Conference in ministry to First UMC in Athens and Northwest UMC in Columbus.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Cara (Jason) Adams; her son, Jonathan (Danielle) Sisson; and her daughter, Amy (Mansour) Mathlouthi. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Connor, Brooke, Jonathan (Bri), Cailey, Ethan, Christian, Noah, Eleanor, and AJ, and great grandmother to Oliver. She is also survived by her sisters, Susan Glassner, Lynn (Greg) Donaldson, and Tammy (Steve Mould) Glassner, along with a host of other cousins and dear friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Rutherford-Corbin Funeral Home, 515 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, Mill Run Campus, 3500 Mill Run Drive, Hilliard, Ohio 43026. A luncheon will follow the service.

Diane Devers Sprague -

Diane Devers Sprague, age 86, of Columbus, was the wife for nearly 66 years of Bishop C Joseph Sprague, who survives her.

She was the daughter of Irene Haupt Devers and Donald D. Devers, step-daughter of Delbert Allford (upon the premature death of her father), was born in Dayton, and graduated from Trotwood-Madison High School, Miami Jacobs and North Central Colleges. For more than 45 years, Diane was a devoted supporter of Joe's ministry as pastor and bishop in the United Methodist Church, while distinguishing herself as a Head Start teacher and Recreational Therapist in nursing homes and the former Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital in Columbus. Her students, co-workers, and patients highly regarded Diane because of an empathetic heart that identified graciously with the wounds of others. She had a rare capacity to value and accept all people equally, regardless of their life situation.

Diane was particularly at home in her kitchen, where cooking delicacies to share with family and neighbors was a hospitable trait acquired from her mother. She enjoyed lake cottages, beach vacations with her autoharp tuned and ready, OSU women's basketball, Scrabble, giving birthday parties (even for her adored dogs), working out with a trainer, singing in the church choir, and the Cincinnati Reds.

Most of all, the abiding joy of Diane's life was her treasured family, including children and spouses Joseph D. (Denise), Mary Anna Paumier (Vince), David J. (Jane), Becca Burleson (Todd), and Mark C. (Deceased); 10 grandchildren: Mylene (Kevin), Lyda (Jesse), Dan (Haley), Victoria (Jacob), Anna (Rafal), JD (Sydney), Sam (fiancé Madelyn), Charlie, Drew, and Ben; and 10 great-grandchildren: Caroline, Wyatt, Wesley, Ella, Henry, Milo, Malcolm, Camden, Caysen, and Jack; and sisters Jeanie Hertlein and Nancy Roberts.

A former athlete herself, Diane was an avid fan of her family's many athletic involvements, and immensely proud of their academic, professional, and community accomplishments. She was overjoyed by their values and ethics, grateful for all they did for others, and constantly rejoiced in the strong family tradition they represent.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14th, at North Broadway UMC, 48 E. N. Broadway St. Columbus, Ohio, 43214, her family will greet friends following the services. Arrangements entrusted to the Snyder Funeral Center in Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent in Memory of Diane Sprague to the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, 3081 Columbus Pike, Delaware, Ohio, 43015, for the Mark C. Sprague Scholarship Fund, that assists minority students preparing for urban ministry.

Pastor David Brentley -

Though David may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those David touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Vision United Methodist Church (4400 Reading Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45229).

Mrs. Carole Brown -

Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George Brown, a Full Elder in the United Methodist Church, who served Buttzville-Free Union, New Jersey 1957; Somerset, OH (Zanesville Dist) 1959; Maize Manor, Columbus 1963; Belmont (DS) 1972; Lancaster (N) 1979; Wilmington District Superintendent 1983; and Cincinnati Westwood (C) 1988.

Brown was born on Christmas day in 1934. Her mother was going to name her Judith but the nurse, a nun at Mount Carmel Hospital in Columbus, insisted she be named Carol because of the holiday. Her mother added the "e" on the end of her name, so it wasn't quite as obvious. Carole enjoyed telling this story throughout her life. She grew up as an only child on the west side of Columbus, and it was at West High School that she met and fell in love with George Brown. They went on to attend and graduate from The Ohio State University, he in theology and she in nursing. Before her children were born, she worked as a nurse at University Hospital and later for the Community Blood Center of Dayton. Although she was a caring and accomplished nurse, it was her work as a mother that allowed her to really shine. As George began his pastoral ministry, Carole's gifts as a caring and loving person were perfectly matched for life in the church. She was a talented soprano and sang in choirs her entire life. She loved getting to know new people and would take them under her wing to make them feel included. She could start up a conversation with anyone and many described her as one of the loveliest and kindest persons they knew.

Carole and George moved to Otterbein Lebanon SeniorLife Community after George's retirement, and they quickly became involved in many activities on campus. After George's death in 2020, Carole continued to connect with others while enjoying life to the fullest.

Carole was a loving mom, a wonderful grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed it when the family gathered for special celebrations. She liked sharing meals, laughter, and music with those who were closest to her. As a person of deep faith, she trusted in the abiding presence of God, and her family believes the light of heaven is shining on her as she reunites with her dear George and so many others.

Carole is survived by sons Rev. Larry Brown (Kelly), Phil Brown (Kathy), and daughter, Julie Albright (Mark). In addition, there are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family that were very special in Carole's life. A memorial service will be held at Otterbein Community UMC on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Visitation will be at 1:00pm, followed by the service at 2:00pm.

Memorial gifts may be made to Otterbein Lebanon SeniorLife Benevolent Care in Carole's memory: https://otterbein.org/donate/.

Rev. William "Bill" Hunter passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2026 at the age of 81. His death followed many years of living with the complications of Parkinson’s disease.

Bill shared the beauty of life together with his wife, Pat, for over 55 years. Love and laughter flowed in their home, as they nurtured their children, Marcy and Brett, into adulthood. That circle of love has grown wider with the marriages of Marcy to Dave, and Brett to Angie; and wider still the circle of love has grown to include precious grandchildren, Carley, Imre, Max, and Nova.

For more than 40 years, Bill served in ministry among the congregations of the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Bill loved, and was loved, by so many. He is remembered for his creative, caring, and also his sense of humor.

He embraced God’s people with Faith, Hope, Love, and Unconditional Grace; and it lives on in our memories, and in the lives he has touched.
