2025 Bishop Palmer's Go Awards - Main Registration

Congratulations on receiving a 2025 Go Grant!

Bishop Jung and our team would like to celebrate with you and 3 members from your church at his annual Go Awards on Sunday, February 2, 2025! This semi-formal celebration has a new, shorter format this year and will start at 4:30pm at Powell UMC and by 6. The OhioHealth Red Carpet Reception will begin at 3:15 with hors d’oeuvres from Cameron Mitchell Catering and a team photo on the Red Carpet with Bishop Jung and your award.

New this year:

• Each recipient and their new ministry idea will be listed in the Go Awards Resource Booklet. All participants will receive a copy to use as a resource.
• A mini concert to kick off the ceremony.
• Renowned author and speaker, Pastor Daniel Yang will be with us to offer encouragement and strategies from his new release, “Becoming a Future Ready Church: 8 Shifts to Encourage and Empower the Next Generation of Leaders.”
• Once again, the UM Foundation of West Ohio will present the “Breakout Vision of the Year” along with a matching grant.
• One church or individual will receive the “Bishop Gregory Vaughn Palmer Award for Social Transformation & Justice.”

HOST: Bishop Jung

Bishop Hee-Soo Jung currently serves as the resident bishop of The Ohio Episcopal Area, encompassing both the East and West Ohio Conferences. He began his assignment in September 2024.

Before his appointment to Ohio, Bishop Jung led the Wisconsin Annual Conference from 2012 until 2024. During his tenure, he was a key leader in the Imagine No Malaria Campaign, which raised over $1 million. Bishop Jung personally visited every congregation in the conference and provided leadership in planting over 30 new congregations. Under his guidance, the conference achieved 49% cross-racial leadership appointments, reflecting his deep commitment to racial justice and radical inclusion.

Prior to Wisconsin, Bishop Jung served as bishop of the Northern Illinois Conference (Chicago area) for eight years. He played a central role in launching the Harvest 2020 movement, resulting in numerous new faith communities. Bishop Jung’s dedication to immigration justice and the sanctuary movement inspired the creation of Justice for Our Neighbors (JFON), providing critical legal services to immigrants.

GUEST SPEAKER: Daniel Yang

Daniel Yang is the National Director of Churches of Welcome at World Relief. Previously he served as the director of the Church Multiplication Institute at the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center, a think tank for evangelism and church planting. He is the co-author of "Inalienable: How Marginalized Kingdom Voices Can Help Save the American Church" with Eric Costanzo and Matthew Soerens, and "Becoming a Future-Ready Church: 8 Shifts to Encourage and Empower the Next Generation of Leaders" with Adelle Banks and Warren Bird.
